Maidstone Youth Music Society (MYMS) is the music centre in the Maidstone area for young singers, string, woodwind, brass and percussion players aged 5 to 20 years.

MYMS has around 100 members, of various ages and standards, playing and singing a wide range of music in six ensembles, which include a String Ensemble, a Symphony Orchestra, Senior Concert band, Junior Concert Band, MYMS Voices and a Core Choir. The quality of music produced is of a high standard and a number of our young musicians are currently members of various Kent County Youth ensembles. MYMS is a very friendly society where young people not only enjoy the thrill of playing high quality music but also making friends and socialising .

MYMS is proud of its members who come from over 20 different schools in the Maidstone & Mid Kent area and is always keen to welcome new players.
